This document describes HydrOffice QC Tools 4.9.9.

2.4.2. Delivery Inputs

Receive project- or survey-level folder structure and supplemental reports.

  • Select the Hydrographic Data Delivery tab on the QC Tools interface.

In Delivery Inputs

  • Drag-and-drop any number of project/survey folder structures and/or supplemental report files anywhere onto the interface. The "+" browse button may also be used. Once added, the directories of the project/survey folders and the files of the supplemental reports will populate in the respective locations of Delivery Inputs.

  • With the addition of directories and files, the Delivery Structure Checks and Supplemental Reports Checks tabs on the bottom of the interface become available for use (Fig. 2.54).

  • If an input folder is not recognized as a project or survey per the HSSD, an error message will alert the user (Fig. 2.55). Note that this validation does not apply to External Source Data projects (as described below).

  • The Clear inputs button may be used to remove all data inputs.

In Delivery Requirements:

  • Set the appropriate major version release (i.e., YYYY . MM ) of the HSSD.

Note

Note that minor version releases (i.e., YYYY . MM . mm ) do not impact QC Tools.

  • If it is an External Source Data (ESD) project, check the box ESD project. Keep the box unchecked for Internal Source Data (ISD).

These requirements define the evaluation criteria for the expected folder structure as determined by the selected HSSD version. Checking the box for ESD project will remove the requirement for the project or survey folder name adhere to the expected syntax for Internal Source Data. Additionally, because the delivery structure described in the HSSD is encouraged - but not required - for External Source Data projects, all resulting flags are presented as warnings or informational messages rather than errors.

In Delivery Outputs:

  • The output Formats is PDF only. The output files location is controlled by the Create project folder and Per-tool sub-folder flags. The four available combinations are:

    • No flags set (see Fig. 2.56, pane A). The outputs are stored directly under the default or user-defined location.

    • Only the Per-tool sub-folders flag set (see Fig. 2.56, pane B). The outputs are stored in a tool-specific sub-folder (in the default or user defined-location).

    • Only the Create project folder flag set (see Fig. 2.56, pane C). The outputs are stored in a survey folder (in the default or user defined-location). This is the default setting.

    • Both flags set (see Fig. 2.56, pane D). The outputs are stored in tool-specific sub-folders in a survey folder (in the default or user defined-location).

  • The default output Folder location is listed; however, this may be modified via drag-and-drop (or browse to) a user-specified output folder. To return to the default output folder location, click Use default.

  • The ensuing functions will open the output folder automatically upon execution; however, if needed, the specified output folder may be accessed by clicking the Open folder button.
