This document describes HydrOffice QC Tools 4.9.9.

2.3.5.3. What do you get?

Upon completion of the execution of Grid QA you will receive a pop-up verification (Fig. 2.27). In the pop-up, each input is listed and associated with the result of the analysis: pass, fail (with number of errors), or skip (e.g., for lack of a depth layer).

Grid Stas produces images representing specific statistical analysis:

histogram showing percentage of nodes passing density requirements

Fig. 2.28 A histogram of the percentage of total nodes that contain a specific sounding per node. To pass a node must have at least 5 soundings contributing to the population of that node.

histogram showing the percentage of nodes passing uncertainty requirements

Fig. 2.29 A histogram of the percentage of total nodes that contain a node uncertainty as a fraction of the IHO TVU. Anything over 1.0 does not pass uncertainty requirements.

plot showing the percentage of nodes passing uncertainty requirements across NOAA OCS Quality Metrics

Fig. 2.30 A showing the percentage of nodes passing uncertainty requirements across NOAA OCS Quality Metrics.

histogram showing the percentage of nodes passing resolution requirements

Fig. 2.31 A histogram, created only for VR surfaces, that shows the percentage of nodes that have a node resolution as a fraction of the allowable resolution at that depth. Anything over 1.0 does not pass uncertainty requirements.

The naming convention of the output files contains important information about the settings that were used to execute Grid QA. Each setting is separated by a period in the naming convention. See the example below.
